OJ's Halal Beef

Halal beef refers to beef that is prepared and processed in accordance with Islamic dietary laws as prescribed in the Quran. The term “Halal” means permissible in Arabic, and in the context of beef, it involves adhering to specific guidelines for slaughtering the animal. The slaughter, known as “Zabiha” or “Dhabiha,” is performed by a Muslim butcher who follows Islamic rituals, including a swift and humane method of cutting the throat to allow the blood to drain. Additionally, Halal beef must be free from certain impurities, and the entire process is intended to ensure that the meat is permissible for consumption by adherents of Islam. This practice aligns with broader Halal principles governing various aspects of Muslim life, including dietary choices.
